BioTop Consortium
This Specific International Cooperation Action comprises five
European partners and five partners from Latin American countries which
signed an agreement with the EC covering science and technology:
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Mexico. The consortium combines excellent
complementary expertise in the fields of:

Current biofuel sectors in Latin America,

State-of-the-art of RTD on conversion technologies in LA and Europe,

RTD on biofuels,
-
Implemented conversion technologies,
-
Sustainability of biofuel production,
-
Standardisation and trade of biofuels,
-
Strategy and roadmap development,
-
South-South and North-South cooperation,
-
Policy development, and
-
Dissemination activities.
In order to realise the ultimate goal of this project to identify
technical opportunities and research needs for improved biofuel
production in LA, this consortium brings together expert organisations
which have the capacity to address all aspects connected to an improved
and sustainable management of feedstock and biofuel production in Latin
America. The BioTop project will contribute to achieving this goal
through the support of research activities in Latin America and through
increasing awareness about EU-LA collaboration opportunities.
